Russ Doucette · Owner & Builder
Russ takes clients through the decisions step by step. His decades of experience help identify potential issues early and guide practical choices throughout the project.
The Russ Doucette standard
Since 1980, Russ Doucette has built custom homes with a personal standard that reaches from the first planning conversation to the final piece of millwork.
We take on a limited number of projects at a time so each receives close attention to quality at every stage. Our smaller team gives clients direct access to Russ as owner and builder.

Our point of view
Russ takes clients through the decisions step by step. His decades of experience help identify potential issues early and guide practical choices throughout the project.
Cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural woodwork are made in our own shop and fitted on site, with proportions, materials, and finishes developed for the rooms around them.
Maine’s coastal conditions call for careful material choices and installation details. Russ brings his experience with that environment to the planning and execution of the home.
The process
The sequence is straightforward. We plan carefully, communicate throughout the build, and stay involved through the final details.
Explore the planning stepsWe talk through the site, the design, how you want to live, and what matters most to you.
We organize the scope, budget, schedule, and material selections before construction begins.
We coordinate the trades, track progress, and keep clients and the design team informed as work moves forward.
We review cabinetry, trim, finishes, and fittings together so the details work throughout the home.
We review the completed work, address final details, and walk through the home with you before handover.
